Getting started

Quick start

Sign in and store your first file. It takes a few minutes, and your first 2 GB are free.

1. Sign in

Go to Sign in and pick whichever is easiest. You don't need a crypto wallet to use Aeterna.

  1. Continue with Google or Apple

    One click, using the account you already have.

  2. Or continue with email

    Enter your email address and we send you a 6-digit code. Type it in — no password to remember.

  3. Or continue with a wallet

    Connect it, then sign the message your wallet shows. Signing is free and sends no transaction; it only proves the wallet is yours. You land straight in your dashboard.
Your account is tied to how you sign in. Google, Apple or a code sent to the same email all bring you back to the same files. A wallet is its own account, so keep using the same wallet to reach the files you stored with it.

2. Store your first file

  1. Open Upload

    In the tabs at the top of the app, choose Upload.

  2. Add a file

    Drag it onto the page, or click to choose it. Any size works.

  3. Decide on encryption

    Leave it off for files that can be public. Turn it on for anything private — see Encryption.

  4. Store permanently

    Click Store permanently. Your browser prepares the file and sends it straight to Arweave, with an IPFS backup. You'll see progress as it goes.

  5. Save the key (encrypted files only)

    If you encrypted the file, you are shown its key once. Copy it or download it before you leave the page — nobody can recover it for you.

3. Find it again

Your files are listed in the Vault. From there you can open, verify or share any of them. A new upload shows as Confirming for a few minutes while the network settles it, then Confirmed.
